Erlene Leverette was born April 9th 1930 in Grenada Mississippi. She began her career as a registered nurse in Greenwood Mississippi. After meeting the love of her life Richard Hammett they were wed on June 2nd 1948. In the 1960's they both became involved with the SWIPE company. They were a great team and soon were the top SWIPE sales reps in North America. They won many prestigious sales awards. Unfortunately Richard passed away in 1980. Erlene poured her heart and soul into the SWIPE company and continued to earn the top sales rep reputation. Fast forward 15 years and Erlene Hammett would own exclusive rights to SWIPE and I LIKE SWIPE, INC. was born. Together with L'PAIGE COSMETICS COMPANY, a successful lipstick company that Erlene founded in 1983 the sky was the limit. Both companies have been successful to the present. Erlene ran and was involved with both I LIKE SWIPE and L'PAIGE until complications due to Alzheimer's forced her to retire in 2003. Erlene Hammett passed away February 2nd 2020. We honor her fantastic legacy and memory by carrying on the outstanding traditions of her successes. We stand by the phrase that Erlene coined to describe the quality and strength of SWIPE THE MIRACLE CLEANER - "IT TAKES THE RUBBIN OUT OF SCRUBBIN AND LEAVES MORE TIME FOR LOVIN!"
